We know how to do it and that is why we created a challenge, to help as many people as possible to decrease their stress-level, because stress is so bad for you!

 

The challenge is called: You and your partner stress-free in just a couple of minutes.

 

You can do this challenge with your partner, a friend, family member, a colleague. Someone who you like to help releasing stress.

What will we be doing in this challenge?

 

Well, if you are going to do the challenge, you never want to go back. If you do this 5-day challenge, it will be life changing.

 

We tell you this because we experienced it ourselves. So we are super excited that you join.

 

We like to invite you – challenge you actually – to make some time every day for this challenge during 5 days. It only takes 10 to 15 minutes a day.

 

 

Powerful techniques

 

During the preparation of this challenge we realized again how powerful these massage techniques are. We actually knew this already, but by taking again some minutes a day to massage each other, we felt a complete change.

 

Again.

We ended up super relaxed and happy every day.

 

Only after a couple of minutes.

 

We just thought it is crazy that not more people know this and apply these techniques, to become stress-free.

 

 

Possible for you?

 

Maybe you now think, well this is not possible for me.

 

Because well Manel & Nicole have many years of massage experience and have been teaching over 10,000 people massage. So it is easy for them to apply the techniques and make each other relaxed.

 

Yes, we know we have this advantage.

 

But don’t worry, you don’t need to have any experience.

 

 

Easy

 

The techniques we will show you during the challenge are easy. You can do this even if you have never given a massage.

 

However, if you have already massage experience this challenge is also for you. You might learn new techniques, but most importantly you will be aware of your stress level during the next days of yourself and your massage partner.

 

And why is that important, to be aware of your stress level?

 

Because stress is very bad for you, maybe worse than you think.

 

Why?

 

 

Why is stress so bad?

 

Let’s explain to you briefly what stress is.

 

When you feel threatened, your nervous system responds immediately by releasing a flood of stress hormones, including cortisol and adrenaline. These stress hormones awaken the body for emergency action. Your heart pounds faster, muscles tighten, blood pressure rises, breath quickens and your senses become sharper.

 

You probably know that feeling.

 

 

Fight or flight?

These stress hormones, cortisol, and adrenaline are very good when you need them. It is amazing that in a split second we can release these hormones in our body to become more alert. In the so-called ‘fight or flight’ situation.

 

This is a moment in which you need to decide quickly if you need to escape (flight) or if you need to take action (fight) in a dangerous situation. It does not have to be so dramatic, your body also releases these hormones in the case you need to be more alert, like for an exam.

 

 

Good stress

 

There is good stress and bad stress. Good stress is stress that helps you to reach your goal. To help you to save your life for example, as we explained the ‘fight or flight’ situation.

 

 

Bad stress

 

On the other hand, there is bad stress. The bad stress is when you keep these levels of cortisol in your body in your bloodstream for a longer period during the day. Being stressed a couple of hours a day is very harmful to your body.

 

 

How to de-stress?

 

So in short: You need cortisol in your body to be alert or when you are in a ‘fight or flight’ situation. However, stress for a longer period is bad for your body. So what do you need to do to when you are stressed, to de-stress? Well, obviously you need to decrease the cortisol in your body.

 

 

Lowering cortisol

 

The best to lower your cortisol level in your body is to improve the blood circulation. You can do that by exercise or massage. Both improve your blood circulation.

 

 

Too tired to exercise?

 

However, many people who are stressed are also tired. They don’t feel like doing exercise. Therefore a massage treatment is a very good option. By massage, you also improve your blood circulation, and it is a passive form of exercise. You don’t have to do much. It is the masseur who is actually doing the sports to you.

 

 

How does massage reduce stress?

 

When receiving an acupressure massage treatment, the acupressure you receive is working on the 12 systems of your body. Also the endocrine system, the hormone system. By receiving a massage, your blood circulation improves.

 

Endorphins

 

The blood can filter the cortisol out of your body much quicker than if you did not receive a massage. And in the meantime, your hormones are being balanced due to the acupressure you feel when you get a massage.

 

Your body is releasing instantly what we call happy hormones, like endorphins, dopamine, and serotonin. And what we call stress hormones like cortisol and adrenaline are reduced by massage.

 

So now you know what stress is.

We know your time is very valuable and that is why we decided to make short videos for the 5 days challenge, so you can release the stress of the one you massage in just 10 to 15 minutes.

 

And did you know, while giving the massage you also feel relax? We do too. If you give massage for a longer period you become in a meditation, in a flow while giving the massage.

 

 

What do you need?

 

How do you prepare yourself for this challenge?

 

Maybe you are busy but if you just take 10-15 minutes a day for the 5 days during the challenge and block this in your itinerary, you will see an amazing result.

 

If you have more time, great. Then you can also receive the massage. Your massage partner can give the same massage to you, while watching the videos (under our guidance) so you will feel the benefits too.

 

For the challenge you need 2 pillows or cushions and a mat. This mat can be a bed mattress (not too soft), a yoga mat, a thick blanket or of course if you have one: a proper massage mat. Plus you need someone to be your massage partner.
