WHAT IS THAI YOGA MASSAGE?
Click here if you like to know what Thai Yoga Massage is
Traditional Thai Yoga Massage is a preventive and therapeutic full body massage given on a mat on the floor.
Health benefits for both client & masseur
The massage therapy is based on manipulation of the joints, acupressure along the muscles and stretching of the muscles, with enormous health benefits for both client, but also for the masseur.
Different than other forms of massage
Thai yoga massage is different than other forms of massage, because both masseur and client are constantly moving in yoga-like positions with Tai Chi movements.
Meditation & Flexibility
This is why not only the client but also the masseur becomes more flexible and is in meditation during the treatment.
Used in hospitals
In Thailand this is used for centuries in hospitals to shorten the waiting lists. Moreover this massage is part of the daily routine in Thailand with enormous health results.
Best job of the future
Nowadays Traditional Thai Therapy Massage is becoming more well-known as a treatment in regular western medicine.
Sociologists predict that use of smart phones and other internet devices will increase and therefore massage therapists will be more and more demanded in the future!

TOP 7 REASONS TO BECOME A THAI YOGA MASSAGE TEACHER …
#1 Make others Healthier
Sharing your skills as a Thai yoga massage teacher gives you the opportunity to change the lives of others. When you teach Thai yoga massage, you can inspire your students. Moreover, as scientifically proven your students will become healthier.
By Thai yoga massage your immune system improves, you recover more quickly after an injury and prevent your muscles from injuries.
And if you have any injuries Thai yoga massage will help you to recover better. Inspiring students and changing their lives by sharing your skills as a Thai yoga massage teacher is a very rewarding job.
#2 Make others Happy & Relaxed
When you teach Thai yoga massage classes, you will notice immediately the effect on your students. Before class they look normal, some maybe stressed or tense. But after class, your students will look super relaxed and very happy. Why? Because massage decreases the stress hormones such as cortisol and increases endorphins, like adrenaline, serotonin and dopamine. These chemicals work together to make you feel good.
#3 Prevent Your Own Diseases
While you teach your students to prevent diseases by Thai yoga massage, you will become healthier yourself too by giving Thai yoga massage. Because while practicing Thai yoga massage you are constantly moving in yoga-like poses, so it is like doing yoga yourself. And you will receive Thai yoga massages, since your students need to practice on you too! One of the best parts being a Thai yoga massage teacher is receiving massages. And on top of that, you will be paid instead of paying for your massage!
#4 Be Happier & Relaxed after working
Teaching Thai yoga massage makes you happy and relaxed. Why? Because you teach in a relaxed environment: most classrooms you will teach in have a calming effect. And you will be putting on relaxing background music, burning nice essential aroma oil, becoming in a meditation state when teaching the Thai yoga massage flow and watch your students during your lesson transforming into smiling relaxed happy faces.
So yes, it is possible to feel happier and more relaxed after your working day than you felt before! Actually, we notice that many of our students that change their career to become a Thai yoga massage teacher feel happier and more relaxed than before.
#5 Be a Lifelong Learner
You will never learn a topic better than when you start to teach it. Students always ask the most interesting questions. They give you an incredible amount of energy and insight. And no student is the same. You’ll be amazed how much you learn from teaching Thai yoga massage. Teaching is a powerful way to deepen your own practice and understanding of Thai yoga massage.
#6 Enjoy a Flexible Schedule
Most Thai yoga massage teachers that graduate with us only work a couple of hours a day. The rest of the days they have time to spend like they wish. After we started teaching Thai yoga massage, we were surprised how much freedom we had.
Instead of working from nine to five, coming home very late due to commuting from work to home and working mostly until late, we now had half the day off and plenty of time to ourselves, for family, friends, and our hobbies.
Also we were our own bosses, able to make our own schedule, so we took time off to travel, set up a massage school in Berlin, taught abroad and were also able to study twice a year in Thailand.
#7 The Best Job of The Future
Sociologists predict that use of smart phones and other internet devices will increase and therefore massage therapists and massage teachers will be more and more demanded in the future. Moreover, in Thailand Thai yoga massage is used for centuries in hospitals to treat patients.
In the west the benefits of Thai yoga massage are finally getting more well-known and also more accepted by western doctors. We do see already during the years an increasingly amount of people in the west as well choosing to incorporate Thai yoga massage treatments in their daily lives.
This is why we set up the Life Balance Thai yoga massage classes and are looking for more teachers and therapists.

Experience the benefits of massage yourself
During our lessons we not only teach you the best massage techniques, but you will also become healthier yourself.
Our teaching methodology is called VAK, visual, auditory and kinaesthetic, meaning that you first look at the teacher when explaining the massage techniques.
After that you give the massage on a fellow student and then you receive the massage.
So you learn in 3 ways.
But in this way you also work on your own health. It’s great to see that many of our students benefit immensely from the massage they receive during the lessons.
For example, many of our students got rid of their burnout complaints, others experienced that their headache, backache and stress disappeared.
Only because they are following a massage training and therefore, they themselves experience the benefits of Thai Yoga Massage.

WHAT OTHERS SAY:
Currently following the teacher training and am very happy to have chosen this school. The teachers are highly qualified and serve as good role models for myself as a teacher to be. I feel they really enjoy sharing their knowledge and giving therapeutic massages. I always look forward to my weekly classes and follow more classes whenever possible.
Kind, knowledgeable & relaxed teachers. Enough space & time to learn at your own pace. The place is also beautiful, warm & there’s always tea & a smile waiting. Their massage therapists are also amazing. Top marks!
I’m currently doing the Teacher Training program, but I have also done other short courses at the school before and I’m definitely doing more while I’m in the Netherlands. The teachers are passionate, enthusiastic and with very positive energy. I always feel much calmer and happier after my lessons, I love the atmosphere there. Also, every teacher has their own style of teaching which makes my learning process even more complete. My skills and knowledge as a massage therapist have improved a lot since I’m at this school and I am happy for choosing it for my studies. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who would like to learn good massage skills and different types of massage all at one place – whether they are already massage therapists or have no experience in this field.
Best school and Best teachers! I love it!

‘The Thai yoga massage is a combination between the giver and the receiver. It is a kind of meditation in movement for both. And the effects for both the client and the masseur are amazing,’ says Marike just before the start of a massage class she is teaching.
You feel energized and relaxed at the same time
‘I tried different kind of massages, because I am quite a worrier. So I use the massage in a way to go back into my body. When I received the Thai yoga massage for the first time I could really feel how deep the massage felt in my muscles. I felt energized after the massage. That is the combination that is so interesting, because you feel energized but also feeling really relaxed after the massage.’
I thought wow I like to share this feeling
‘I really thought wow I like to share this feeling with others. I like to give the same feeling to others. And to learn to give this massage as well.” She says in between laying the massage matts in a row in front of the mirror in the massage school to prepare her lesson for today.
‘I followed level 1 and level 2 of Nuad Bo Rarn Thai yoga massage and I started to give treatments myself. It was an amazing feeling because people that I massaged are discovering new forms of massage and they are really grateful about the results.’

For the first time I felt a job can be fun!
‘I think it was the first time for me that I thought: ‘Wow, a job can be fun! A job can give me some positive energy.’ That was really special to me. She smiles, turns on some relaxing massage music and lights the candles in the room, and sits down on a matt wearing traditional massage pants and a t-shirt, to continue her story…
‘When I first took a course I was really excited. Because the way the massage is taught at the school is really interesting. The teachers are really experienced and so passionate about what they are doing. And the way they teach is really the Thai way. It is about watching. It is about feeling and doing it yourself. It is an amazing way of learning. Because you are much more concentrated on what you are feeling, not so much only in the head.’ She smiles and her eyes are twinkling while she passionately talks more.
I thought I cannot do this
‘When I first was in the massage classes, I was always looking at the teacher and I was thinking: ‘Wow I would also like to be the teacher!’, but I was thinking, I might not be the kind of person that likes to speak in big groups to be the center of attention so I thought I am not sure if it is something for me.’
But look where I am now
‘The teachers at the school encouraged me to start and I was well coached. And now… yes well there I am, I am now here in the middle, doing the class.’ Marike points to her students that have been entering the class during our conversation and off she goes teaching Life Balance Massage for Health Classes.
Thank you Marike for sharing your story!
