Thai Hand Massage Practice

Please bring:

• A big towel (full body sized / beach towel to lie your whole body on)
• A small towel (pillow sized 2 towel to rest your head on)
• Clean socks (it might be comfortable to receive the massage with socks on, so you can change at the school in clean socks prior to massage)
• Comfortable clothes in which you can move freely like:
  • • long sports trousers (we massage over the clothes)
    • shirt with long sleeves (which you might need if you receive massage since you will cool down)
    • wear a t-shirt underneath (when you give the massage you might become a bit warmer so you can take off your long sleeves shirt/sweater)
• A bottle of water for you to hydrate yourself after the massage
• Your book, pen and paper if you want to make notes

We provide the mats, head pillow and cushions for you.

• Arrival:

Please arrive 20 minutes before if it is your first time for registration.

Once you arrive at ITM Thai Hand Amsterdam, you will be asked to fill out an intake form to record any relevant medical history, injuries or physical conditions we should be aware of.

• Intake:

The teacher will talk with you about your medical conditions, and you decide together if adjustments should be made for your.

Please be aware that you should be able to sit on your knees during the practice. And be aware that participants practice on each other, so in the case of injuries we advice you book a massage treatment (you will then be massaged by a certified massage therapist, rather than by another participant as during Thai Hand Massage Practice).

• Change clothes:

In the dressing room, you can then change yourself into appropriate clothes for the Thai Hand Massage Practice.

• During the Thai Hand Massage Practice class:

You will benefit the most from receiving the massage from the other participant if you come with an open mind to learn and to give constructive feedback.

When you give the massage, be ready to receive constructive feedback, and be open to learn. You are welcome to ask questions to the teacher who is present during the Thai Hand Massage Practice. Plus you are welcome to try your own created massage protocol if you wish.

Please note: Thai Hand Massage Practice is not a one-to-one practice with the teacher. If you wish to practice with the teacher, you are welcome to book a private lesson. Just mail to info@thai-hand.onlineprecision.nl for more information.

During Thai Hand Massage Practice participants practice on each other, but it is also possible to bring your model. Some participants prefer to not receive massage, but they just like to practice on their own model under the supervision of the teacher. You can bring your own model and pay instead of 15 euro, 30 euro because you will practice 2 hours including feedback.

Thai Hand Massage Practice is for everyone who follow(ed) any of our massage classes (online or offline) and likes to practice on the mat. Weather you follow(ed) the Teacher Training, the Nuad Thai Massage Program, a course or class (in our school, during our retreats or online), you are all welcome to practice with us live at our school.

It is something for you if you:

• Like receiving massage treatments
• Like to practice on the mat
• Like to improve your techniques
• Like to learn new techniques
